Music lovers will be excited to learn Cameron Cody, former organist at Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica will be returning to St. Simons to perform an afternoon concert on Sunday, Sept 30th. Cameron served as the church organist from 2014 until 2016 when he accepted a position and followed Dr. John Stephens to Houston, Texas. Since assuming the position at Chapelwood United Methodist Church he has accompanied the touring choir from St. Martins’ in the Field, England and played for the Texas Annual United Methodist Conference. He performs frequently in the Houston area for private functions, raising money for foundations and charities, often accompanying Grammy winning Opera singers. Joining Cameron will be Danielle Wojcik a gifted soprano and James Kelly, pianist, both member of the Chapelwood staff. The free concert will begin with sacred music and following a brief intermission a medley of Broadway favorites. The concert begins at 5:00 in the church sanctuary across from the entrance to Fort Frederica.
