The 2020 RSM Classic returns to Sea Island Golf Club on November 16-22, at Sea Island Golf Club, however,.The Davis Love Foundation, in collaboration with the PGA TOUR and title sponsor RSM USLLP (RSM), recently announced that the tournament will be played without spectators. All four competitive rounds of the 11th tournament will be televised on the Golf Channel. While things are fluid based on the COVID-19 environment, currently, the tournament continues to plan to host the Yamaha Pro-Am on Wednesday, November 18 on both Sea Island’s Seaside and Plantation courses. However, the Pro-Am will not be open to the public, and full health and safety precautions will be in place for players and amateurs alike. Virtually, all other tournament-related events have been postponed until 2021, including all on-course hospitality, the Saturday concert and fan events.
“Despite the difficult decisions we have made regarding spectators and other tournament-related events, the Davis Love Foundation, along with RSM, remains committed to using The RSM Classic as a platform to help children- and family- focused charities across the nation,” said Tournament Host Davis Love III. “Charitable organizations are experiencing unprecedented demand on their services as the pandemic takes an economic and emotional toll on Individuals and families. It remains our goal to have a positive impact on Special Olympics, the Boys and Girls Club of Southeast Georgia and other local and nationwide charities through our Friends of Davis Love Foundation, Birdies Fore Love and other creative fundraising programs.”

Friends of Davis Love Foundation is a program administered by the Davis Love Foundation designed to help raise money for charities participating in the program. Each participating charity sells raffle tickets for $20 each for the chance to win a brand new vehicle from Nalley Brunswick Automobiles. (Must
be a resident of the State of Georgia to win the raffle for the car.) 100% of the money collected through the raffle is distributed back to the participating charities. Charities currently have their tickets and will have until Friday, November 13, 2020 to sell those tickets and raise money for their organization. A drawing for the Grand Prize winner of the car will take place during The RSM Classic. All raffle tickets and contributions must be submitted to the Davis Love Foundation to be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing and Bonus Pool match. Any raffle tickets collected after Friday, November 13, 2020 will not qualify. No exceptions. In addition to receiving 100% of raffle ticket sales, the Davis Love Foundation will fund a $50,000 Bonus Pool that will be distributed to participating charities based on raffle ticket sales performance. The more contributions an organization raises, the more bonus dollars the organization will receive! By purchasing a virtual raffle ticket, you support a charity of your choice and are entered to win a brand new car courtesy of Nalley Automotive in Brunswick. After purchase, please save your receipt as confirmation of your raffle ticket. For each raffle ticket you purchase, the Davis Love Foundation will return 100% of your purchase to the charity you choose plus an additional contribution. You can purchase your raffle tickets directly from the listed charities of your choice or online directly through the RSM Classic website at rsmclassic.com/product/friends-raffle/.

The RSM Birdies Fore Love program is another giving platform tied to The RSM Classic, focused on supporting organizations that help build the middle market leaders of tomorrow. The program has two primary components: 1) Birdies Fore Love – RSM employee giving challenge. Each year RSM owners and employees raise funds for local charities aligned with the missions of the RSM US Foundation and the Davis Love Foundation. In 2019, the program raised more than $3.8 million for more than 70 charities in the communities where RSM employees live and work. The strong fundraising through Birdies Fore Love, coupled with matching contributions from the RSM US Foundation and proceeds from the tournament, has brought the program total to more than $17 million donated over the ten years of the tournament. 2) Birdies Fore Love – PGA TOUR on-course competition. In collaboration with the PGA TOUR, RSM Birdies Fore Love will again donate over $1 Million to charitable organizations through an on-course competition over the first eleven events of the 2020-21 PGA TOUR Season.

In addition to weekly winners, the top three players who accumulate the most birdies (or better) throughout those first eleven events will earn $300,000, $150,000 and $50,000, respectively, for children- or family-focused charitable organizations of each player’s choice. Last year, Scottie Scheffler (139 birdies or better) won the overall program, followed by Lanto Griffin (138) and Denny McCarthy (135). Scheffler chose to spread the love and donate $200,000 to the Davis Love Foundation, $50,000 to the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation and $50,000 to Triumph Over Kids Cancer. Both Griffin and McCarthy have chosen to use their donations to start their own foundations to support youth in their communities. You can check out the 2020 competition’s live leaderboard, weekly winners and remaining events on the RSM Classic website at rsmclassic.com. There is also a donation link if you’d like to make a contribution to Birdies Fore Love to help at-risk youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing or health.
