On Saturday, May 4, Coastal Georgia Honor Flight honors local veterans with a private, chartered flight to Washington D.C. where they can visit the national monuments dedicated to the conflicts and branches of the military in which they served. Community members of all ages are invited to come out to the Brunswick-Golden Isles Airport that evening for the flight’s return to welcome home our veterans with patriotic signs and fanfare. This is our way of giving them the warm and ceremonious welcome they may never have received during their time of service. Flight expected to return between 8:30-9pm. Come out early to grab some dinner or refreshments. Bring Flags! Bring Banners and signs to celebrate our honored vets! Let's come together as a community in a BIG WAY to show our support and appreciation for those who have served our country. See the Coastal Georgia Honor Flight page on Facebook for more details and get ready for a day filled with gratitude and celebration!
Monetary donations are also needed for these flights because every veteran who wants to participate is given the opportunity free of charge. Please visit coastalgeorgiahonorflight.org for more detailed information, volunteer and giving opportunities.
