This year Firebox celebrates local with St Simons Island journeymen Chefs Fransisco Jimenez and Ryan Wagner plus Sarah from Wild Heaven Brewery and David from Virgil Kaine Distillery. Five all-inclusive courses + cash bar in the courtyard at SSBBQ Thursday October 3rd. Doors at 5:00pm - Dinner at 6:00
Born and bred in Boston, Chef Francisco Jimenez has spent over twenty years spicing up kitchens in New York, New Orleans, Texas, and North Carolina. In 2016, he laid roots in the Golden Isles.
Raised on St. Simons Island, Chef Ryan Wagner followed his passion to North Carolina before returning home to St. Simons Island, where he spent fifteen years at Delaney’s Bistro and Halyards Restaurant.
At Halyards Restaurant, Chef Francisco and Ryan bonded over their love of simple ingredients, sports banter, and late-night snacking. Together, they established The Chef’s Table to showcase local and seasonally sourced ingredients and their approach to crafting exceptional menus and dining experiences. Working alongside local farmers, seafood purveyors, and artisans, The Chef’s Table brings the true essence of farm-to-table dining to your plate.
