Golden Isles Olive Oil is proud to host and sponsor for the 4th year in a row the North Meets South celebrated fundraiser dinner. Enjoy a culinary event you will never forget -- a 6-course dinner with complimentary wine pairings at the enchanting King and Prince Beach and Golf Resort. The celebrated Canadian Culinary Ambassador specializing in Maritime Cuisine, Chef Alain Bosse, aka The Kilted Chef and the soulful Chef Darin Sehnert of Chef Darin’s Kitchen Table are joining forces once again to give attendees a once in a life time dining adventure. The chefs will entertain and demonstrate some incredible techniques and maybe share some secrets to fusing Southern soul with maritime favorites
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Teaching and Learning Initiative for Central America's (TALICA) critical library programs for students, teachers, and other educators in rural Southern Nicaragua. www.talica.org.
In addition, on Sunday, January 22, from noon to 4:00 p.m., Chef Alain Bosse aka The Kilted Chef will be personalizing and signing his renowned cookbook Mussels at Golden Isles Olive Oil in Redfern Village. They will be serving tasty treats & bites during the signing event.
Chef Alain Bossé, the Kilted Chef, is Atlantic Canada's culinary ambassador. He is the president of Alain Bossé Consulting Ltd, the food editor for Saltscapes Magazine and the past president of Taste of Nova Scotia. He is currently on the board of directors for Taste Nova Scotia, and is a recipe creator and cookbook reviewer. Chef Alain resides in Breashore, Pictou County, Nova Scotia
