51st Annual Blessing of the Fleet

The Blessing of the Fleet is an annual festival hosted by the Darien-McIntosh County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the area's biggest industry: shrimping. The 3 day event includes an art show, various food & drink vendors, children's activities, arts & crafts, a classic car show, a 5K run, nightly entertainment, and Saturday night fireworks. On Sunday, shrimpboat captains participate in a marine parade at 2pm for the blessing of a safe and prosperous season.

Cost for entry each day is $5 per person, children under age 14 are admitted free of charge. Sunday is free to everyone. There is an additional fee of $10 to bring in a cooler.
