Cinema Gourmet: "Conrack"

Cinema Gourmet offers a delicious tasting of food from Chef Kate of Indigo Coastal Shanty and an insightful talk about the film. "Conrack" is the 1974 film based on the 1972 autobiographical book "The Water Is Wide" by Pat Conroy and starring Jon Voight in the title role, alongside Paul Winfield, Madge Sinclair, Hume Cronyn and Antonio Fargas, as well as school children from C.B. Greer Elementary. Filmed in and around Brunswick, a member of the local cast will be on hand to share their experience. PG, 106 minutes. Tickets are $18 each and must be purchased by midnight, Feb. 9. $5 tickets for the movie and talk only will be available at the door.
