Symphony Season
The Coastal Symphony of Georgia (CSG) is presenting a kaleidoscope of music for its 41st concert season. Continuing at the helm is our sought-after Music Director and Conductor, Michelle Merrill, who will also serve as Artistic Director of the Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra.
Poetry and Song - Monday, November 27, 2023, Brunswick High School, at 7:30 pm
National rising operatic star, Ashley Dixon joins the orchestra to sing Edward Elgar’s Sea Pictures Song Cycle, taken from 19th Century poetry. Vltava (The Moldau), a symphonic poem written by Bohemian composer Bedrich Smetana opens the program. Brahms Symphony No 1, which took 20 years to complete and was hailed by some as “Beethoven’s Tenth” in 1877, closes the program.
