Ernie's Final Leg and Completion Celebration

East Beach at the Old Coast Guard Station First Street, Saint Simons Island, Georgia
The final leg of WW II veteran Ernie Andrus' run from coast to coast will start at Golden Isles/Morningstar Marina off the FJ Torras Causeway, then continue down Kings Way to Ocean Boulevard, ending at the beach by the Coast Guard Station. 4.5 miles.
Celebrate the finish of Ernie's run across America, BRING YOUR FLAGS, POSTERS, RED, WHITE, AND BLUE TO HELP CHEER ERNIE TO THE FINISH!! ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO LINE KING'S WAY AND OCEAN BOULEVARD STARTING AT 6:30 AM. Celebration at Coast Guard Beach at 8:30am.
Drop in for meet and greet, lunch provided by Halyards Restaurant Group and Southern Soul BBQ 12-3pm at the American Legion Post 166 with Ernie, family, and friends. (Legion address:1013 Arthur J. Moore Drive, St. Simons Island, GA)
**If you plan to run with Ernie to the finish, park your car at the Coast Guard Station Beach and the shuttles will run at 5:45 and 6:00am to take runners to join Ernie for 6:30am start** THERE IS NO PARKING AT START OF RUN.
