Golden Isles Youth Orchestra Winter Concert

The GIYO, comprised of sixty-two students from Camden, Glynn, Bacon, and Charlton Counties, will present its annual winter concert on Sunday, December 7, at 3:00 pm in the historic Glynn Academy Memorial Auditorium, 1000 Mansfield Street, Brunswick. The orchestra will be the first GIYO performance under the direction of its new conductor, Maestro Jorge Pena, and will feature, among other works, Silverstri’s Polar Express, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Festival, and Schubert’s Military March #1. Ticket prices, which are deliberately kept low to be affordable for families, are sold by student musicians and are available at the door. Adults $7 and children under 12 $5.
