Rock the Marsh to benefit the OPES Marsh Lab hands-on learning space for students. Open to the public with food by Hootenanny’s and music by The Tide Kings.
The OPES Marsh Lab is a hands-on learning space unique to the school where nature is the classroom! Students learn about the freshwater wetlands, salt marshes and surrounding estuaries of our Island equipping them to become stewards of conservation for our special home. As the only school in Glynn County that does not receive Title I funds, OPES is responsible for financing all non-instructional costs associated with the school such as the Marsh Lab, maintenance and replacement of playground equipment, teacher's back to school supply funds and more. All of the proceeds from the inaugural Rock the Marsh event will go directly toward the Marsh Lab and its instructor's salary, which is fully funded by OPES PTA.
Tickets are $60 for one or $100 for two and will be available at the gate. Each entry ticket includes one drink ticket and a snack plate.
