An exciting new eclectic art gallery featuring the original work of 9 local and regional artists opened on St. Simons Island in May. ArtTrends Gallery is an artists co-op: an enterprise owned and operated by the artists whose work is featured in the gallery – the first of its kind on St. Simons Island. At ArtTrends Gallery, art lovers buy directly from the artists who create the work, cutting out the middleman and higher prices. Featured at ArtTrends Gallery are original works by Jennifer Broadus, Helen Carmichael, Dottie Clark, Ella Cart, Carly Hardy, Louise Hooper, Trish Rugaber and Linda Wunder in traditional and contemporary motifs in a variety of mediums – watercolor, oil, acrylic and mixed media, as well as works by 3-dimensional artist, sculptor Ray Garrett.
