Sage, Rosemary...and Time

We’re showcasing Spring fashion from local retailers modeled by members of the Cassina Garden Club. We recently enjoyed a morning together at one of the homes to be featured on the Tabby & Tillandsia Garden Walk. While sadly, the Garden Walk has been cancelled, the fashion here is timeless and can still be purchased at the boutiques mentioned herein.

ON THE COVER, Nancy Butler blooms beautifully in a floral cashmere and cotton topper with tasseled hem by Caroline Rose, white blouse by Hinson Wu and fuchsia pants by Estelle and Finn, accessorized with pearl earrings, all from Planters Exchange.

Over packets of thyme, parsley, and a variety of flowers, Cassina Garden Club members Janice Brinkley, Julie Sellers, and Gee Gee Adams discuss blooms found in the garden at this beautiful Frederica home. They’re seated around a stunning custom-made table that was hand-painted with names of the homeowners’ family members and shipped to them from Italy’s Amalfi coast. Janice is vibrant in a Finley top with splashes of color paired with blue patterned pants by Estelle and Finn from Planters Exchange, accessorized with gold leaf earrings from Tamary’s and coral pearlescent necklace by Maggie’s Boutique. Julie added luminous earrings and a bold necklace to jazz up a vivid cobalt top by Hinson Wu and white Estelle and Finn pants. Purple and blue flowers adorn the Caroline Rose jacket worn by Gee Gee with a powder blue blouse and pants by Estelle and Finn. Her gorgeous and versatile statement necklace with exchangeable centerpiece is by Clara Williams. Julie and Gee Gee’s looks are from Planters Exchange.

Cindy Jacobs peruses a gardening book from ACE Garden Center as she lounges underneath a rare John Pulham & Son sundial. The sundial was reclaimed from a garden in Kent, England and is similar in design to the Worth Park Sundial, No. 361, shown in the company’s 1925 catalogue. She sports butterfly print Krazy Larry pants and a fun Foxcroft blouse, accessorized with necklace, earrings, and shoes from Maggie’s Boutique.

Darby Gross is a breath of spring sunshine in this gauzy floral dress with wrap by Komarov, accessorized simply with gold and pearl earrings, all from Evelyne Talman. She invites you through the wrought iron gates to see the “secret garden” within.

Darby joins Cindy by the pigeon house to help spruce up the Italian herb garden. Pairing floral pants by Peace of Cloth and a Michael Stars tee with a soft tailored Insight jacket in her “signature shade” of orange, Cindy is the picture of sophisticated style. Darby wears a fun and travel-friendly multicolored print dress from Aryeh. Both looks are accessorized with jewelry from GraceWear and everything is available at Tamary’s.

Maybe a tad dressy for Julie to be watering the garden, this pastel watercolor print sheer jacket and blouse ensemble by Damee paired with complementing Krazy Larry pants is a perfect look for a garden party. Available at Evelyne Talman. Necklace and earrings from Planters Exchange.

Gee Gee has found the ideal spot to sit and dream of the Tuscan countryside in this swing overlooking the lake. She wears a bright blue blouse by Valentina under a Claire Desjardins by Carré Noir floral jacket with classic white pants by Krazy Larry. All available from Maggie’s Boutique.

The Cassina Garden Club is sad to announce that the 14th Annual Tabby & Tillandsia Garden Walk scheduled for Saturday, April 25 has been cancelled due to the current global pandemic. We look forward to its return next year.
