Purple prevailed in Neptune Park on St. Simons Island as community members gathered for the Golden Isles Alzheimer’s Walk. This annual event presented by the Georgia Alzeheimer’s Foundation raises awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research and local support services. All proceeds benefit research efforts at the Goizueta Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and the support services provided by Memory Matters Glynn for individuals with dementia and their caregivers.
