The first weekend in March was a big one for Historic Downtown Brunswick. Before First Friday festivities kicked off, there was a ribbon cutting in Queen Square NE to celebrate the extensive renovations done there by Signature Squares with the assistance of community sponsors, businesses, and donors. First Friday featured live music with Idle Hands as part of the Brunswick Music District concerts, a super pong game, art exhibit openings at SoGlo Gallery and The Ritz. At Creative Frameworks & Gallery there was a meet & greet reception to welcome new resident artists Boni Ray Chaney (abstract painting) and Michelle Holton (photography). Saturday was filled with street fair revelry highlighted by numerous local bands and entertainers taking the stage throughout the day to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tipsy McSway’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill. This Port City knows how to party!
